At age 35, Gordie Howe has led his team in points during the regular season and is on his way to tying teammate Norm Ullman for post-season points. • Gordie (Mr. Hockey) Howe began playing with the Detroit Red Wings in 1946 and stayed with the team for 25 seasons. • In 1949 Howe set a Red Wings franchise record for goals in a playoff series, scoring eight goals over seven games against the Montreal Canadiens. His record stood until May 1, 2008, when Johan Franzen, also of the Detroit Red Wings, scored nine goals in just four games in a series against the Colorado Avalanche.
