Game Seven. Overtime. The atmosphere is electric in the Montreal forum for one of the most exciting scenarios in sports. It's do or die for Scotty Bowman's Canadiens and Don Cherry's Bruins as they fight for a spot in the Stanley Cup finals. Montreal's Guy Lafleur saved the Habs season, tying the game on a power play goal with less than four minutes left. Montreal has ousted Boston from the playoffs in the past two seasons and Boston wants to avoid the three-peat. Danny Gallivan has the call from the Montreal Forum, several minutes into the deciding overtime period. It's a thrilling finish in one the most storied rivalries in hockey.

• The Boston Bruins were up 3-1 in the seven game series, making it one of the most competitive in the history of Montreal-Boston matchups.
• Three of the seven games in this semifinal were decided by one goal.
• Up by a goal in the third period, a bench penalty for too many men on the ice was assessed to the Boston Bruins. On the subsequent power play, Guy Lafleur scored to tie the game and send it into overtime.
• Montreal advanced to the Stanley Cup finals against New York Rangers to win their fourth straight championship and the 22nd in the history of the team.
