1976: Royal family in Canada for Olympics

Broadcast Date: July 26, 1976

Be careful about talking when reporters are around. That's the friendly advice Prince Charles is heard offering to his younger brother, 12-year-old Prince Edward, in this excerpt from a 1976 CBC-TV special about the royal family's recent visit Canada. According to the reporter in this clip, seeing the Queen and her children so at ease with each other during this trip is giving Canadians a whole new impression of the royals: "This relaxed informality gave the face of the monarchy in Canada new personality."
