Expodition: Expo 67 for kids

Broadcast Date: May 15, 1967

Only two weeks after opening, Expo 67 has already welcomed over four million visitors. Among their number are many children, and Expo has plenty of delights just for them. Expodition interviews Coco the Clown, a third-generation clown with the Ringling Bros. Circus, talks to puppeteers Dora and Leo Velleman, and hears about a boy who literally stood on his head to get on the Gyrotron at Expo's La Ronde amusement park.

• The Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey circuses, with their "Greatest Show on Earth," performed in Montreal's Autostade (Automotive Stadium) on the Expo site. During Expo 67, the stadium also hosted a military tattoo and a spectacle featuring singer Maurice Chevalier. There were also three shows featuring horses: a rodeo, La gendarmerie française, and the World Horse Spectacular.
