This Saturday morning program debuted Jan. 2, 1988, and continued until June 29, 2002. Over the years host Arthur Black introduced recorded music and welcomed regular contributors such as George St. John Quimby, John David Hamilton, Jack Farr, Harold Fiske, Dr. Ted Boadway, Marg Meikle, Ed Zotti and Danny Marks, who entertained and informed listeners with quirky humour.

The CBC must have an archive of several hundred complete editions of Basic Black my all-time favorite radio program. What are the chances that they will be made available for fans to hear again? Thanks

There are indeed stacks of great Basic Black episodes available. Unfortunately they contain lots of material protected by copyright, so we can't put up whole shows. But let us know your favourite segments, and we'll see what we can do! Cheers.
