Morningside

In 1982, Peter Gzowski took over the helm of Morningside and an institution was born. For the next 15 years Gzowski's compelling interviews put prime ministers and hopscotch champions on equal footing. Maclean's magazine called the three-hour weekday show the best and most Canadian thing in national broadcasting. Contributors included deputy host Shelagh Rogers, reporter Stuart McLean, political panelists Dalton Camp, Eric Kierans and Stephen Lewis and cultural anthropologist Margaret Visser. Morningside started in 1976 with hosts Maxine Crook and Harry Brown. It was called Don Harron's Morningside from 1977-1982.
