Life & Times

Life & Times has brought us intriguing portraits of Canadian artists, millionaires, comics and athletes. Taking a leaf from A&E's Biography, this award-winning biography series exposed the rough upbringing behind Newfoundland comic Cathy Jones' humour, the on-reserve experiences that inspired playwright Tomson Highway's work and the spirit that fuelled Elizabeth Manley's Axels. Debuting in 1997, the show profiled 135 Canadian and international personalities until its end in 2003. Host Gordon Pinsent was succeeded by Ann-Marie MacDonald.
