Expodition
In Canada's centennial year, the city of Montreal played host to the world with Expo 67. "Man and His World" was the theme of the 1967 world's fair, a six-month celebration that drew 50 million visitors to a site on three artificial islands in the St. Lawrence River. Broadcast from Expo's International Broadcasting Centre, Expodition was CBC Radio's daily guide to the pavilions, the people, the pleasures and the problems of Expo 67.

Expodition: Canadian art in the spotlight
Broadcast Date: July 5, 1967
There's more to Canadian art than the Group of Seven, and Duncan de Kergommeaux is out to prove it. For the art gallery at the Canadian pavilion, Cameron has borrowed more than 30 Canadian paintings from collections in the United States, Great Britain and Canada. As he tells reporter Bob MacGregor, the collection in the gallery has an international feel – and it's getting a very positive reception from the public and some of the painters themselves.Expodition: Canadian art in the spotlight
• The Canadian art gallery was located within the pavilion's Arts Centre alongside a 500-seat theatre where a Canadian folk-dancing group gave daily performances.• Another art gallery on the Expo site featured the International Fine Arts Exhibition. Works by Degas, Rembrandt and Van Gogh were among the 200-plus paintings in the show.
