Expodition
In Canada's centennial year, the city of Montreal played host to the world with Expo 67. "Man and His World" was the theme of the 1967 world's fair, a six-month celebration that drew 50 million visitors to a site on three artificial islands in the St. Lawrence River. Broadcast from Expo's International Broadcasting Centre, Expodition was CBC Radio's daily guide to the pavilions, the people, the pleasures and the problems of Expo 67.

Broadcast Date: July 3, 1967
The first stop for the Queen at Expo 67 will be, naturally, the pavilion where she's most at home: Great Britain. For Lady Oliver, wife of the pavilion's commissioner, it's the high point of her summer. But, as she tells reporter Lynn Jackson, it's not as much work as one might expect since she won't be entertaining the Queen. But Jackson presses on, wondering whether Lady Oliver knows the Queen's preferences in food or flowers.Expodition: Welcome 'home', Your Majesty
• According to the Globe and Mail, Prince Philip was unhappy with the heavy security that followed the royal couple on their way to Expo 67 from Ottawa. Original plans had called for them to tour the Expo site with the public sealed off from them, but those plans changed. Instead, they took an hour-long ride around the site on the minirail, observed by thousands of Expo visitors.Expodition: Welcome 'home', Your Majesty
