Expodition
In Canada's centennial year, the city of Montreal played host to the world with Expo 67. "Man and His World" was the theme of the 1967 world's fair, a six-month celebration that drew 50 million visitors to a site on three artificial islands in the St. Lawrence River. Broadcast from Expo's International Broadcasting Centre, Expodition was CBC Radio's daily guide to the pavilions, the people, the pleasures and the problems of Expo 67.

Broadcast Date: May 29, 1967
In early 1967, Australia's The Seekers are enjoying success in North America as their song Georgy Girl hits number two on the U.S. charts. They've ridden that success all the way to the Expo Theatre at Expo 67, where CBC Radio's Expodition catches up with bassist/vocalist Athol Guy to chat about Australian music.Expodition: Seeking an Australian sound
• The Seekers were formed in 1963 in Melbourne as an acoustic folk quartet. They rose to success in England in 1964, recording several hit singles, and charted in the United States as well.• The group broke up in 1969 and guitarist Keith Potger went on to form the New Seekers. That group would have a hit with I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, a song originally written as an anthem for Coca-Cola.
