Expodition
In Canada's centennial year, the city of Montreal played host to the world with Expo 67. "Man and His World" was the theme of the 1967 world's fair, a six-month celebration that drew 50 million visitors to a site on three artificial islands in the St. Lawrence River. Broadcast from Expo's International Broadcasting Centre, Expodition was CBC Radio's daily guide to the pavilions, the people, the pleasures and the problems of Expo 67.

Later, a carnival barker relates a tale about a group of boys keen to ride the Gyrotron at the fair's amusement park.Expodition: No strings attached
• Children's World was part of La Ronde, the amusement park at Expo 67. It featured smaller rides for young children, play areas, a restaurant offering kid-friendly choices, a miniature train and costumed mascots strolling about.• The Gyrotron was an indoor ride consisting of two parts: a simulated space flight, with asteroids flying by, and a trip down to hell, where riders were "swallowed" by a giant monster.
