1964 Saskatchewan election

The results on election night 1964 indicate an end to the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation's 20-year reign in Saskatchewan, but CCF leader Woodrow Lloyd won't concede anything just yet. Liberal leader Ross Thatcher is claiming victory, although the CCF is counting on recounts and late ballots before the legislature is formed. CBC Radio gets reactions from Thatcher, Lloyd, federal NDP Leader Tommy Douglas and federal Liberal Leader Mitchell Sharp.

1964 Saskatchewan election

• After all the votes were counted, Ross Thatcher and the Liberals were determined to have won a majority government, winning 32 of the 59 seats in the Legislative Assembly. The CCF held onto 26 seats while the Tories won a single seat.
