Distribute and discuss the Project Outline with the students. Check that all students clearly understand the guidelines and expectations for the project.
The project includes the worksheets listed below. These worksheets describe each task and should be used by students in their groups. You can adapt the worksheets to suit the parameters of your project. Be sure that students have a clear understanding of each of the worksheets.

Use this worksheet to begin the project. Discuss the requirements and have students brainstorm ideas related to the project expectations. - Oral Presentation Worksheet
Students can use this worksheet to help organize and develop the outline for the oral presentation the group will make to nominate the athlete, team, or sport to the Hall of Fame. - Sound Collage Tips Worksheet
This worksheet explains what a sound collage is and gives ideas to be included in the development of the collage. - Sound Collage Selections Worksheet
Students can use this worksheet to help them make selections for the various sound bits on their collage. - Oral Presentation Tips
This worksheet gives tips on making oral presentations. Adapt it and add to it to incorporate your own focus. Students can use the tips as they develop and practise their presentation. - Model Assessment Rubric
If you are using this rubric as part of your assessment procedure, review it with students early in the project so that they understand clearly how they will be assessed.
Students must use all of the resources provided on the relevant CBC Radio and Television Archives Web site topics. Each file provides information in a variety of media on the main page, along with a substantial listing of additional articles and Web links. Students may need support reading some of the material.
- Have students do research on various Halls of Fame and share the criteria that is used for nomination.
- Have individuals or small groups do research to determine other sports that they feel should be included in the Sports Canada collection.
